STAR House seeks to assist Minnesota families in Saint Paul, MN prevent housing crises by providing safe and effortless childcare services. We will provide a comforting home-like environment for the children in our care as a crisis nursery. We will build trust with families to allow them the confidence to place their children with us and access our supportive services. Through our values, we acknowledge the bravery of parents who desire to provide the best circumstances, resources, and opportunities for their children and endeavor to remove the social stigma against crisis nurseries.
We endeavor, in coordination and collaboration with community partners, to identify, coordinate, contribute to, and maintain our values to meet the identified needs of children, families, and the Minnesota community. We will create a network in Saint Paul, Minnesota to maximize the strengths of our organization, the families we serve, the dedicated staff, and other valuable community services, to become a village of power. As a crisis nursery, we reach our full potential when we consistently value children, parents and staff equally.

engage. By creating meaningful connections, building on each other’s unique strengths and sharing resources, we will grow a village to sustainably uplift all parties for generations to come. Supporting and facilitating strong family development contributes to the health
and success of the Minnesota community. We will offer parenting and family resources to help families thrive.

STAR House participated in the Ramsey County Inclusive Workplace Cohort and graduated in December 2023. This work has given STAR House the knowledge and foundation for creating an equitable inclusivity plan, with areas of focus in Leadership and Hiring.
The goal of the 2023 Inclusive Workplaces Cohort: Achieving Equity Together cohort, led by the Center for Economic Inclusion and the Workforce Innovation Board of Ramsey County, was to accelerate employers’ ability to advance racial equity, diversity and inclusion within their organizations and to support businesses that aim to leverage and sustain a more inclusive and sustainable workforce that supports better bottom-line results.
