STAR House is a crisis nursery supporting children and families in Ramsey County during their hardest moments.
A flood closed our doors in August 2025. We did not give up. We secured a new home in St. Paul's Midway neighborhood and we are reopening August 1, 2026. Before we closed, we turned away 103 families simply because we did not have enough space.

Help create a welcoming environment for the children of STAR House!
Are you interested in donating material items to STAR House? We appreciate it! We have defined some guidelines to ensure the children of STAR House have the best experience possible during their home-away-from-home stay at STAR House:
- Used: good condition calming toys (no stuffed animals), clothing sizes 2T- 10/12, storage totes, office supplies, video games console, outdoor toys, wagon, and babydoll accessories.
- Must be New: scent and dye free soaps, toiletries, shoes, bedding, undergarments, any food or medical supplies
Please avoid: button batteries, balloons, orbies, or items requiring many large batteries or many small pieces. As well as items that represent holidays, religion, violence or weapons.
