We are looking for someone like you to join our leadership team as Vice President! STAR House (STAR) is a non-profit crisis nursery dedicated to providing a temporary home away from home for children and supportive services to uplift and strengthen the entire family. Board members must be at least 18 years of age, commit to a two-year term and be able to serve approximately 8-12 hours per week for board duties. This is an uncompensated volunteer position with the benefit of being part of bringing a much needed service that will have a great impact on our community.
Just like governing boards, working boards are responsible for the big picture strategy and policies of an organization, but the members of a working board actually implement those strategies, whereas members of a governing board do not. STAR is excited to welcome a new board member to join us in launching a support network for families in Ramsey County.
